Snow White and the Huntsman is a dark fairytale and uses a hero and princess character like we have in our film . Also it uses dark thriller like music.
Coraline is more thriller like than fairytale, this helped us to see what conventions we could use. It uses dim lighting throughout the film.
Alice and Wonderland is another dark fairytale and its uses a lot exaggerates on its props and uses bright colours.
Frankenweenie is black and white which shows the darkeness on the film and mild horror like events throughout
